A Little Introduction About Me/This Blog

I am will call myself Faith. I am 28 years old, living in New England. I have a 3 year old Dachshund named Amos who is my baby (I love animals!!) & I am engaged to a wonderful man who I love unconditionally. I have a BA in psychology & my masters in marriage & Family Therapy. I have a background in working with special needs populations, mental illness, crisis work & am passionate about grief counseling work, pet therapy, stress/anxiety management, mindfulness, & medical family therapy. My passion also is with special needs populatons (developmentally and mentally disables and those with medical challenges). I am passionate about Human and animal rights, being open, diverse and promoting equality. I always try to make the world a better place regardless of how great or small the impact. I lost my father at 17 to cancer, & I personally live with type 1 diabetes ( I am on a pump and a continous glucose monitor), heart block (which I have a pacemaker for), Turners Syndrome a genetic condition & hypothyroidism.  These sound like alot to live with and be able to function but I always look at it this way. I am a diabetic making me sweeter, I have a slower heart, giving me the heart of a turtle (slow & steady, patient & kind), My pancreas is on strike for bigger & better things & as a Turners woman I am short/small which good things come in small packages. I always try and see the positives in everything & always try to see where each person is coming from in their walk of life. hold my health in highest regard and love health & wellness, reading (inspirational, true stories, self-help, animal related, medical related), being outside, hiking, walking, the ocean & Horseback riding (I have worked around, & been a horse back rider since I was 8 years old). I also love volunteering, promoting good causes & helping in whatever way I can. I believe knowledge is power & in accepting & loving all. Honesty is the best policy & holding a loving heart, & smiling are some of the best gifts. Please feel free to ask me any questions/ feel free to talk to me. Support, faith & maintaining hope is what I hope to provide and so crucial in life.
